The Swallow Bower hotel formerly known as the Macdonald Bower hotel was once the residence of one of the area's most famous families who lived in this splendid Victorian. Over the years its original character has been sympathetically maintained and enhanced. The Bower hotel is well located for exploring the region's owns and countryside.

All 93 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, Sky television and tea/coffee making facilities. 28 rooms are newly built to their superior club standard. Family rooms and Executive rooms are also available. Many of the rooms enjoy views over the hotel gardens.
